The story so far
Ayon Jyoti Ganguly is the visionary founder of Roam India Now — one of Eastern India's most beloved travel companies. Born and raised in Kolkata, the cultural capital of India, Ayon's love for travel began at age 14 when he first trekked to Sandakphu, the highest peak in West Bengal. That life-changing journey planted the seed for what would later become Roam India Now.
After completing his education, Ayon spent nearly a decade exploring India independently — from the icy deserts of Ladakh to the rainforests of Meghalaya, from the spiritual ghats of Varanasi to the serene backwaters of Kerala. He also traveled extensively across Southeast Asia, Europe, and East Africa, absorbing different cultures, travel philosophies, and hospitality standards.
In 2016, driven by the belief that "every Indian deserves to experience the magic of their own country — and the world beyond," Ayon founded Roam India Now in Kolkata with a laptop, a phone, and an unshakeable passion. Starting with small group treks in the Himalayas, he built the company into a full-service travel brand serving 150,000+ travelers across India and abroad.
Ayon personally oversees trip quality, curates itineraries, and regularly travels with groups to ensure the Roam India Now standard of excellence. He is known among travelers for his warmth, expertise, and ability to turn even the most anxious first-time traveler into a confident globetrotter.

Travel philosophy
The best souvenir you can bring home is a changed perspective.
India is not one country. It's a thousand countries in one.
Safety is not a compromise. It's the foundation of every great trip.
Travel should be accessible to everyone, not just the privileged few.
